Carolina Fresh inaugurated its first Tide Cleaners outlet in the Charlotte market in February 2014, marking the 20th store within the system. In 2019, the company launched a second plant store and, within that same year, established its first drop store location. Regrettably, these openings coincided with the onset of the pandemic. Carolina Fresh persevered through this challenging time by maintaining its commitment to customer service and community support.
In 2022, the firm acquired a four-store competitor, enhancing the operational efficiency of its two existing plant locations. Currently, seven Tide Cleaners outlets operate in the Charlotte area. The company has entered into an agreement to purchase another competing business, with the transaction expected to finalize in early 2024. Concurrently, expansion efforts are underway at the company’s Arbor’s plant to facilitate the forthcoming acquisition. With the integration of three additional stores, Tide Cleaners is poised to emerge as the leading dry cleaning and laundry service provider in the Charlotte market.

Consolidated Cleaners of Cincinnati is part of the Consolidated Group of companies, headquartered in Naples, Florida, and is dedicated to the continued growth of the Tide Cleaners and Tide Laundromat concept. In addition to developing and operating 18 stores since 2013, with 5 more locations set to open by the end of 2024 on both coasts of Florida, we have also taken control of the Charlotte, North Carolina franchise territory, where 10 locations will be fully operational by June 2024. Expanding into Cincinnati is the next step in our ongoing expansion journey.
